BVG (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe) collaborates with Adidas for a limited edition sneaker. The BVG x Adidas sneakers cost 180euros and will be available to purchase on the 16th of January. Only 500 people will have the “privilege” to buy them. Perhaps “limited editions” are a good marketing trick but these kinds of shoes truly are special, as they vouch for using the public transportation for free, for a whole year. The BVG ticket is on the sneaker’s tongue (smart!) and it is valid for all BVG buses, trams, ferries and subways.
The shoes’ design is inspired by the classic BVG trains -the heel counter has the pattern of the old subway seats that blends perfectly with the distinctive yellow and black colours.
